Makeup and cosmetic trends evolve with season. If you’re new to makeup, it can be hard to keep pace and it might also be baffling at times. Worry not! FabFit makeup experts will help you acquire and master the technique of using eyeshadows, lipsticks, and highlighters well. Here are some great, easy eye-makeup looks this winter!
1. Frosted Glittery Snow
This might seem a bit complicated but is pretty simple to execute. Start by applying a simple brown smoky eyeshadow look underneath. Let it set, then pack silver glitter eyeshadow onto your eyelid, being careful not to go above the crease. Finish with eyeliner and mascara or false eyelashes.
2. Warm Golden Eye
This very simple eye makeup look presents all the warm tones associated with winter. Start with a shimmery gold tone over your entire eyelid, working upwards from the corner of your eye. Then, pack in a darker bronze tone with a similar shimmer in the upper corners. Blend until the two colours form a gradient. Finish with a thin coat of dark brown eyeliner.
3. Green Goddess
If you like a little pop of colour and making a dramatic statement, this look is for you! Start by marking out the upper outline of your shadow with the darkest green of the shades you want to use. Then, fill out the inner areas with lighter shades. Blend until they form a gradient. Finish with dark brown or black shadow on the outermost corners and over your lower lash line. Add black eyeliner if you wish.
4. Nude Blush
This ultra feminine look is classic yet sophisticated, and its colour palette is one you can find easily. Cover your eyelid with a pink blush colour, then add a shimmery light shade that is close to white over the lower areas closest to your lashes. Blend the colours together until smooth. Finally, top the look off with light shimmer around the finished powder. Finish with eyeliner and mascara.
5. Smoky Eye
This is the most essential winter look. While certainly not a new idea, it never hurts to go back to basics – but with a twist. Start by drawing an outline with a black eyebrow pencil of where you want the smoky look to start. Carefully colour the outside of the outline with dark shadow. Brush foundation powder, concealer, or eyeshadow that matches your skin tone over the outermost corners and over a portion of your eyelid for a cutting edge smoky look. Finish with thick eyeliner and mascara.
6. Simple Blue Undereye
This look is easy but unique, making it sure to be a talking piece. Simply use a single colour of eyeshadow over your top lid, preferably a nude brown, and add cat eye eyeliner over it. Then, line your lower lash line with either tightly packed blue eyeshadow or lightly smudged blue eyeliner, and there you have it!
7. The Natural Holiday Look
No eye makeup list is complete without a down-to-earth, natural look. Pat down a very light or white powder over your entire eyelid, then slowly add in subtle brown hues to the outer corners. Two different shades of this colour are preferable: a medium shade that is placed towards the center of your lid, and a dark shade for the outer corner. Add eyeliner and false eyelashes to finish.
