The changes in wedding guidelines in different states has caused a curb on couple’s wedding plans. Weddings have been constantly downsized to reduce the sudden surge in COVID 19 cases. The uncertain lockdowns in different states and cities has created a room for confusion. What is the cap on the number of guests? What are the instructions to follow ? Government of these states have tried to make these weddings more intimate affair. Therefore, we can follow these new wedding guidelines. NEW WEDDING GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW STATEWISE.
DELHI WEDDING GUIDELINES:
- Weddings prohibited in public places. Marriage can be conducted at home or registry.
- Number of guests – not more than 20.
MAHARASHTRA WEDDING GUIDELINES:
- Maharashtra has allowed marriage ceremony as a single event in a single hall.
- Number of guests – not more than 25.
UTTAR PRADESH WEDDING GUIDELINES:
- Indoor and outdoor venue weddings are allowed.
- Number of guests – not more than 50 people.
RAJASTHAN
- Weddings at public places are prohibited till 30 June.
- Number of guests – not more than 11.
HARYANA
- Weddings in public space are restricted.
- Number of guests – Maximum 20
PUNJAB
- Indoor and outdoor weddings are allowed.
- Number of guests – not more than 11.
MADHYA PRADESH
- With the reduction in COVID positivity rate to 0.3%, MP government has increased the guest limit cap.
- Number of guests – 40 ( 20 from each groom and bride’s side)
KARNATAKA
- Weddings are allowed both in private and public spaces( in a venue with proper ventilation).
- Number of guests – not more than 40.
KERALA
- Weddings decided beforehand will be allowed. Attendees must register themselves at COVID-19 Jagratha portal.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
CHANDIGARH
- The night curfew enforced between 8 pm and 5 am and the weekend curfew from 8 pm on Saturday till 5 am on Monday will continue
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
GOA
- Weddings have been allowed with official permission. attendees who are not the resident of Goa will have to carry vaccination certificate or COVID-19 negative report.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
HIMANCHAL PRADESH
- Keeping the increased cases in mind the government has decreased the cap on guestlist.
- Attendees staying at hotels can stay only for 2 days now.
- Number of guests – not more than 20.
GUJRAT
- Weddings allowed in closed spaces too with limited guests.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
ANDHRA PRADESH
- 18 hour curfew is still in action from 12 noon to 6 a.m.
- Number of guests – not more than 20.
UTTRAKHAND
- Negative RTPCR report mandatory for bride, groom and other attendees.
- Number of guests – not more than 20.
TAMIL NADU
- Vehicular restrictions from 5 p.m. till 6 a.m. still in action.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
BIHAR
- Curfew still in action from 9 p.m. till 5 a.m.
- Number of guests – not more than 25.
TELANGANA
- Curfew will be in action from 6 p.m. till 6 a.m.
- Number of guests – not more than 40 with prior permissions.
JHARKHAND
- Ban on gathering of people over 5.
- Number of guests – not more than 11.
CHATTISGARH
- Weddings in halls and hotels are permitted in selected areas.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
PUDUCHERRY
- Curfew till 21st June in action from 10 p.m. till 5 a.m.
- Number of guests – not more than 25.
ODISHA
- Rapid antigen reports necessary for all the attendees of the wedding.
- Number of guests – not more than 50.
ASSAM
- Movement restrictions from 1 p.m. till 5 a.m.
- Number of people – not more than 10 and only during the religious part.
JAMMU AND KASHMIR
- Curfew from 8 p.m. till 7 a.m.
- Number of guests – not more than 25.
