We come across so many stories on a daily basis. Some entertain us, some make us emotional whereas some inspire us. The story of Aakriti and Azhar is one such story. With buckets of emotions, inspiration and the one thing that bound them together – love.
We got to witness a beautiful love story out of bounds that surely straight-up melted our hearts. A dream wedding, very literally.
Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua
They met in Nagpur where both of them were getting their MBA and must we dare to say, it was love at first sight. We find these stories about how people click at the first meeting and this was certainly just that!
They had the spark and they went for it. We’ve seen and known how tough it is for a wedding across religions, especially a Hindu-Muslim one but Azhar always knew. He would always talk about Aakriti like she was a beautiful star in the sky. Moreover, also recite the most charming stories about her.

And it definitely worked in their favour because once they were able to convince their families, there was never a low moment! Azhar always saw a future with Aakriti and he held onto it. As a result, they shared their golden moments in their dream wedding before this pandemic hit us.
Paint it Yellow!
After sending out the invites it was a just a breeze past of some of the best days anyone ever had indeed. The festivities began with a combined Hindu Haldi function in Mumbai.
Aakriti was definitely one of the most beautiful brides and Azhar complimented her surely on their haldi. It was a fun affair with the blessings of their family and loved ones and we can certainly see that in their glowing smiles!
Mehendi Lagake Rakhna
What followed afterwards, was a subtle Mehendi celebration which just shows the love blooming between the couple. Azhar wore a light green shade outfit by Kora to enhance the day.
The bride was dressed in a stunning yellow floral lehenga and intricately detailed floral jewellery. She not only had the most stunning Mehendi designs but also pay close attention to her simple yet beautiful hairdo! Aakriti’s outfit was by Hastkala.
The family and friends joined in their celebration and made it a very happening function undoubtedly.
Dance The Night Away
Azhar and Aakriti danced their hearts out with their friends and family in Alankrita Resort, Hyderabad.
The night, in particular, included a solo performance by Aakriti and the first dance of the couple, amongst others. Aakriti wore a stunning red lehenga by Hastakala for the occasion while Azhar went for a shade of black by Kora.
Sangeet celebrations not only involved the couple exchanging rings but it also had a visual display of their pre-wedding shoot. A beautiful and equally delicious 3 tier cake with intricate rose detail was enjoyed by the guests especially.
The night ended beautifully but it was just a teaser to the dreamy wedding celebrations that were going to follow the next day.
The Dream Wedding
The wedding too was held at Alankrita Resort, Hyderabad. With minimalistic colours and subtle shades, it was the perfect intimate wedding we all love! #AakritiAzharKiShaadi
The Hindi ceremony took place first in the outskirts of Hyderabad where not only did Azhar donned a white sherwani, courtesy of Kora but also made his entry on a white horse.
Aakriti too went for subtle colours and she was legitimately glowing on her wedding day. Her make up was by Aadarsh Dwivedi while her jewellery was by Orra Jewellery and Kushal’s Fashion Jewellery.
She wore stunning outfits throughout the functions but her wedding lehenga courtesy of Roopkala was even more gorgeous. Her footwear was by Manyavar Mohe and overall she looked her very best for the most important day.
After the Hindu ceremony in Hyderabad, the couple also headed to Kolkata for the Nikaah organised by Azhar’s family. Above all, it was the most beautiful inter-cultural wedding we’ve seen.
